We're proud to have published 7,381 photos, alternating between two photographers, every single day since January 1, 2006.

**Jens + Erik = JENRIKS**

The journey of what has become the world's longest running daily photoblog started when both of us got into photography some 25 years ago, right at the beginning of the new millenium. We would go out on photo walks with our old analog cameras (a Canon AT-1 for Jens and a Pentax Program A for Erik), amassing shoe boxes full of paper prints. One day in late 2005 we found ourselves wondering if there could be something fun to do with all our photos. Maybe a website where we could post one of them each day…

On [January 1, 2006, we launched JENRIKS](https://jenriks.com/2006/01/01/beobachter/), our daily photoblog where we are dedicated to alternating one photo per day between the two of us. We treat photography as autobiographic expression, always with an eye for unexpected beauty. [We just completed 20 years of non-stop daily posts](https://jenriks.com/2026/01/01/20-years-of-jenriks/), and are still as passionate about photography as on day one!

**Erik Hehrmann** is a photographer based in Evanston, IL. Born and raised in Germany, he has lived and worked in the United States since 2010. His visual interests are centered around concrete-heavy architecture, minimalistic landscapes, and abstract still lives. He rarely takes portraits. He earns a living as a [Creative Services Operator](https://hehrmann.com), but keeps dreaming of retiring as a [fine art photographer](https://erikhehrmann.com).

**Jens Herrmann** is a photographer based in Barcelona, Spain. His perspective is a product of two distinct chapters: a foundation in Germany followed by a pivotal stint in Asia to his current journey through Europe, he remains a resident of the spaces between borders, not yet ready to settle. His photographic work follows a similar trajectory, anchored in portraiture, but often wandering into other genres as fresh inspirations lead him astray.
